Snowed In

Sam and I just made the decision to stay home this Christmas. Today we had to shovel to get out of our driveway and then a few minutes later blew out a studded tire we just had put on. We have about a foot of snow right now. We will miss our family so much this year but know we have to think about our little one and what is safe for him.

Other updates...Roman started walking! It was on his 14 month birthday almost to the minute when he was born! He is cruisin' around everywhere now! He has 11 teeth now. He is just a little bundle of energy. Our whole family has had a cold that we are just getting over. Our precious ferret Zoe passed away last week. Sam went out into the snow and buried her in our backyard. Other then that, we are just trying to keep warm and have a good holiday.

Have a wonderful Christmas and please please be safe!!!

Nothing too exciting to write about...

I just wanted to update some new pictures of Roman. He is growing so fast! He is standing alot and walking holding our hands. He has been taking steps every once and awhile. He just needs the confidence!

We had a great Thanksgiving. We made a total homemade vegetarian feast! We had dinner on Wednesday because Sam worked all day on Thursday. It was a nice dinner, just the 3 of us.

We are getting ready for Christmas. I decorated the other day and tomorrow hope to put our tree up. We are hoping for snow! It has definitely been cold enough. Sam is working so much and probably has to work all around Christmas but we are trying to figure out how to see family.

Autumns Wedding!

Here are some pictures from Autumns wedding. I didn't take many pictures but Sam videotaped the entire ceremony and reception. We had a wonderful time! It was such a beautiful wedding. I cried 4 or 5 times... It was so great seeing all of our family, especially those who we hardly ever see!

Halloween 08

Sam had to work until late on Halloween so I took Roman trick or treating at church! They had tons of candy and games for kids. Roman didn't really know what was going on so he got some candy and we left. Next year when he is older I think he will have more fun. We went and visited my brother and showed off Romans costume.

Sam sewed the Mad Scientist jacket. It looks great! You can't see it in the picture but he has a name tag and a little pocket with pens in it. I dressed as a cat, how original! Sam got to dress up at work and dressed up as a Professor. People thought he was Dr. Jones, Woody Allen, Hemingway, and someone said that he looked exactly like their grampa! Sam has the entire weekend off so we are relaxing and spending family time together.

Roman is 1!

Today our little Roman turned 1. The last year has flown by! We decided not to have a party but to take him to the pumpkin patch and give him a cupcake! We bought him a little bike trailer that Sam can hook up to his bike, it also doubles as a jogging strooler (he is in it at the pumpkin patch) Here are some pictures

Passed out!!

Roman and I are in Longview right now spending some time with my family. Sam is working almost everyday but probably enjoying some quiet time at home when he is off work. Roman is standing well and we think he will walk anyday now! I'm trying to ween him off his bottle but it's hard at bedtime. He will be 1 year old in 28 days! On Thursday we are taking hime to get some portraits taken, I'll post them after we get them back.

Million Smiles Park

Today we found this great park in Lynden. It has different areas for different age groups for little kids. It was the coolest park we'd ever been too. Sometimes I forget that Roman won't always be a baby. He is on the verge of walking. While we were on vacation he started saying "Bye bye bye" and waving his hands. Tonight when we would say "Mama" he would say "Mamamama" and when we said "Dada", He would say 'Dadadada" He laughs non-stop and can sit and eat a WHOLE graham cracker! The first picture of him is how everyday when I am making him food he climbs up there and smiles at me. We try to discourage it but he loves to climb.
